Throttle 6.6 is a program from PGWARE that adjusts the modem settings for maximum performance. The developers claim a 200% increase in the network speed.
Throttle is an easy to use program and does not need to be run at every start up. Once the modem settings are updated you can enjoy higher network speeds. This program works with all connection types like DSL, 14.4, 56k modem. It also accelerates connections made through mobile phones. No matter what type of connection you will be using, the settings will update within seconds.
The program also increases the LAN speed and makes a Dial-up connection more stable.
There are two modes 'Fast' and 'Fastest'. 'Fastest' is the full speed mode. It also has a Restore option that restores the settings to the previous set.
Throttle modifies some modem related registry settings and configuration files. It also allocates a portion of system memory for the processor to process data from the modem faster.
The program is reasonably priced and highly effective, therefore this program is highly recommended for those who have an internet connection.
